Which social media platforms should a small business post on?
The ones your customers use, and that’s usually more than one. Product brands often do well on Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest; local businesses on Facebook and Instagram; YouTube Shorts works for both. With PostOnce you post on one and appear on all of them.
Is it worth being on more platforms, or should I focus on one?
Keep focusing on one: film and reply there. PostOnce puts the same post on your other accounts without extra work, so each post gets more chances to reach a customer. The same video often does very differently from one app to the next.
Does PostOnce post to Pinterest?
Yes. Videos and photos go to your Pinterest account as Pins, with your caption. Carousels post as a carousel Pin with up to 5 images, which is Pinterest’s limit.
Does it post to Facebook Groups or Google Business Profile?
No. PostOnce publishes to Facebook Pages, not Groups or personal profiles, and it doesn’t post to Google Business Profile. Keep sharing to local groups and updating your Google profile yourself.
Instagram already shares my Reels to Facebook. Why would I need this?
Meta’s sharing only covers Instagram and Facebook. PostOnce also publishes to TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest and LinkedIn, with your own caption text for each one.
Will posting the same thing everywhere hurt my reach or look copy-paste?
PostOnce posts through each platform’s official posting APIs, the same way schedulers do. In our test of 40 YouTube channels there was no consistent drop in views after they started posting through PostOnce. Each app has its own audience, and you can add your own text for each platform. Reach problems usually come from account standing, not from where a post first went up.
What about trending sounds and music?
Post in TikTok or Instagram with the sound you want; the video goes out with that audio. Music rights don’t transfer between apps, so a platform may mute or remove a video that uses licensed music.
Does it work for carousels and product photos?
Yes. Carousels, slideshows and photo posts are supported as well as videos. YouTube only takes videos, so photo posts go to every platform except YouTube.
Can I keep posting from my phone, or schedule posts ahead?
Both. Post in the Instagram or TikTok app as usual and PostOnce publishes it to your other accounts within 20 minutes. Or upload to PostOnce and schedule it for later.
How is this different from Buffer or hiring a social media manager?
Buffer schedules each post you upload to it and prices per channel. PostOnce starts from the post you already made and publishes it everywhere else, and Creator is $29 a month for up to 15 accounts.
